LG: launch cinema style 200 inch display 3D projector - Passive 3D Glasses Print
Tuesday, 08 November 2011 09:53

Today, LG Electronics have launched a new passive 3D projector for the Korean market capable of projecting a 3D image 200 inches wide.

Featuring 2D to 3D conversion technology, the Model CF3DAT 3D projector can display full HD 3D images (1920×1080) and at a brightness of 1250 ANSI lumens which LG claim is approximately six times brighter than other premium projectors.

“The CF3DAT is the latest product to join the LG CINEMA 3D family and it’s a serious workhorse,” said Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company. “The CF3DAT is at home in a living room or auditorium as it has the muscle to project a five meter picture in bright, movie theatre glory.”

LG hope the CF3DAT will appeal people with large living rooms and museums, auditoriums and other public places. It uses similar Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) technology found in the company’s Cinema 3D range of monitors and televisions which enable the use of cinema style passive 3D glasses.

The CF3DAA, the global version of the CF3DAT, will be available outside of Korea in the first half of 2012. The CF3DAA but will not include a TV tuner.
