For about a year we have been producing stereoscopic videos, focusing in particular on the food industry, where this technique represents a formidable instrument to transmit the texture of the products and the way the dishes are designed.
At the 2012 Fashion Camp Unconference event we will present the first 3D video dedicated to haute cuisine: “Scabin Pasta Project”.

Concept

Pasta, the Italian food par excellence, is described with great depth and feeling in a 3D video whose gourmet themes include research, raw materials, and the unsettling presentations of Combal.Zero’s unique specialities.

The keyword: Research

Practical and conceptual research underpinning and informing the creative and design process in Davide Scabin’s cuisine. Research as exploration of  a secret journey: the automobile installation is a metaphor to narrate both journey and work-in-progress. Research into the world of food: pasta – the Italian food par excellence – is described with great depth and feeling by Davide Scabin in a 3D video displayed on a monitor in the boot, and stars in the culinary decor of the car’s interior, where the seats are covered in ‘penne’ pasta and the dashboard becomes the Chef’s larder and worktop.
