The boundaries of 3D - new technologies in the culture and in the media - Venice, 7th September, 2012
Venice – Italy - Friday, 7th September, 2012, the event "The frontiers of 3D - new technologies in the culture and media " (Le frontiere del 3D - le nuove tecnologie nella cultura e nei media) will take at the International Film Festival of Venice at the Space-Cinecittà Luce, built inside the Excelsior Hotel.
An important opportunity for comparison and to take stock of the developments in the third dimension. The event is held under direction of the European Commission, with the support of institutional representation in Italy. Planned interventions: Nicola Borrelli (Director General for Cinema of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture) On. Antonio Parisi (Lazio Regional Council - is the author of a proposal in favor of 3D programming in the Regional Centre for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Lazio Region); Osvaldo De Santis (President of Twentieth Century Fox Italy - the Italian representative of the U.S. majors who produced the blockbuster 3D movie Avatar" by J. Cameron); Cosetta Lagani (Director of the new channel Sky 3D Italy - the first channel in Italy with the 100% of programs in 3D), Angelo D'Alessio (consultant for Digital Cinema Biennale and International Director of the SMPTE Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers - the world's leading technical body which deals among other things, standard audiovisual), Marcello Foti (Director General of CSC Experimental Centre of Cinematography); Manuela Cacciamani (FilmProducer One More Pictures and CEO of D2B - a leading company in Italy in 3D graphics); Gianfranco Confessore (University professor, an expert in visual effects and 3D) , Jordan River (3D young Director, producer, an expert in S3D - 3D Area Director of Delta Star Pictures) and of course the landlord Giuseppe Massaro (Director of MEDIA Desk Italy - MEDIA Programme of the European Commission).
On the sidelines of the Meeting will also be presented to the national press a professional guide "3D Stereoscopico" dedicated to movies and television from professionals industry, published by Edizioni FAG Milano and curated by Jordan River and Gianfranco Confessore - single text UPDATED internationally published in language Italian and distribution in these days in the most important national libraries.
