The game Battle: LA is another complimentary game to a major movie release, we’ve seen a lot of these, so it is not surprise to see one such title to go along with the release of that action sci-fi movie as well. I usually skip these as they usually are not something wasting your time on, unless I like the movie so much, that I want to try the game, but that was not the case with the Battle: LA movie (not that the movie was that bad, but it wasn’t very good either). I just happened to get a copy of the game and was curios to see how it will look in stereo 3D mode with 3D Vision, so I went in and tried it for a bit. To my surprise, although there is no official profile for the game, it looks and work surprisingly good in stereo 3D mode, there are no major problems and everything looks quite nice with the default settings.

The problem with the game it is quite short, I actually played the whole thing, it is with kind of repeatable enemies, not much varying arsenal and repeats pretty much the basic script of the movie. The cut-scenes are done in a comics style and are not very animated, so if you’ve watched the movie already, you will know what to expect and probably find the game quite boring. But for $10 USD and a down loadable game you should not have too high expectations set, right? Interestingly enough the game Battle: LA should have a stereo 3D mode in its Xbox 360 version, but not on the PS3, and apparently this is the reason why it also works very well on PC with 3D Vision in stereo 3D mode as well. But if the game was a bit longer, more diverse, not so closely tied to the movie and made a bit better in overall it could have turned to be a nice thing worth recommending to be played. Still trying it in stereo 3D mode is recommended if you decide to get the game… ;)
